A motorcyclist has sustained chest injuries after coming into collision with a commercial vehicle in Scarborough.

North Yorkshire Police were called to Seamer Road, Scarborough at 10.17am today (November 18) after a collision between a Ford Transit Tipper and a motorbike.

An ambulance was requested to give medical attention to the motorcyclist who sustained injuries to his chest.

The road was temporarily closed but has been re-opened in both directions.
