Is Scarborough finally about to get a Primark?
Multiple sources claim representatives from the clothing chain have been eyeing up town centre units ahead of a possible move.
They claim the empty Aberdeen Walk unit above Thomas the Baker, along with Clinton Cards on Westborough, have both been mooted as possible locations.

Hide AdThe company is staying tight-lipped over the rumours, but Chamber of Trade chairman Janet Jefferson said they are “the talk of the street”.
She said: “What we’ve heard is they are waiting for the pedestrianisation to be finished and to see what that brings.”
That £1 million pound project is expected to start in September, and will open up more space in the centre.
She added:“I get approached by so many young people who think Primark is wonderful because they can afford what they sell.

Hide AdPrimark has long been the top of the list of many Scarborough shoppers when it comes to which stores they would like to see move into the town.
Pensioner Alan Everat gathered thousands of signatures on a petition in a bid to entice the cut-price clothing retailer to the coast.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Primark does not comment on speculation or plans regarding future store openings.”
