Bridlington named as one of the UK’s great escapes ahead of May Bank Holiday week
The town was ranked fifth in the country behind Brighton, Blackpool, Cornwall, and Bournemouth in the findings by Travelodge.
Bank Holiday travellers are planning to spend on average £370 on their Maycation, the survey found.

Holidaymakers are also yearning to be one with nature and want to explore the British countryside.
Top rural retreat destinations include the Cotswolds, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and the Scottish Highlands.
Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman, said: “The May Bank Holiday is the start of the 2021 great escape for many Britons and the official launch of the UK hospitality holiday season.
