Bridlington hair salon Prisma wins best salon in Yorkshire at Salon Awards 2022

This has made it a double celebration for Prisma which landed a bronze for the UK in the Global Creative Colour Awards, in Amsterdam, earlier in the year – the first competition the Promenade-based business had ever entered!

Business owner Donna Page and salon manager Chantelle Elliott are thrilled with how the year has gone – and is looking forward to a bright future.

They said: “We feel thankful that all our hard work surviving through Covid and having to recruit a new team in the past year, long hours and travel that we have put in as a team have been recognised by industry professionals and peers by winning bronze in the Globals and now winning Best Salon in Yorkshire.

“We have had the most amazing experience in the last year, attending the mentorship in London for three months, meeting our heroes and equally talented people from all over the world.

“Salon Prisma has also featured in prestigious industry publications such as Creative Head and Hairdressers Journal which we think is crazy, that this little salon in Bridlington is making such an impact on the industry.”

Next year is already set to be another great year, with Donna continuing her close relationship working with Colourstart – a leading a new industry standard in client care – becoming one of their branded salons and presenting nationally to Goldwell salons on how to protect the team and business in a cost of living crises.

Chantelle auditioned successfully and was chosen as KMS ambassador and will be doing with KMS 2023 which she believes will create “amazing” opportunities such as London Fashion Week 2023.

“As a team we will continue our focus on developing the Salon team’s editorial skills for individual competition and competing Globally in 2024,” they added.

"The salon is working closely with an industry business coach and Goldwell to elevate the client experience in the salon to give satisfaction and value.

"We’ve had the most amazing year and can't wait for 2023.”
