Families and country sports enthusiasts are set to flock to Pickering this weekend as the town stages its annual game and country fair.
The event is being held at Pickering Showground tomorrow and Sunday.
Attractions will include the K92000 Dog Display Team, Mounted Games Association, New Zealand Sheep Show and Racing, falconry displays, gundog demonstration, a fun dog show, long netting demonstration, lurcher and terrier races, archery, hundreds of vintage tractors, working displays, tractor pulling and a vintage vehicle display to name but a few.
The 2013 Clay Shooting competition will be sponsored by Hatfields Land Rover of Pickering, who will also be displaying their latest vehicle models at the event.
New for 2013 is a packed program of Equine Events, including Horse Showing Classes on the Saturday, Show Jumping Competition and Heavy Horse Show on the Sunday. Application forms can be downloaded from www.outdoorshows.co.uk.
Organiser Richard Ashworth said: “There really is something for everyone at Pickering Game & Country Fair, whether you are a serious game enthusiast who enjoys the thrill of the countryside or are simply looking for a great day to spend with the family.”
Admission costs £8 adults, over 65s £7, children £4 and a family ticket admitting two adults and three children is £20.
