Popup cinema screening of Quadrophenia in Dalby Forest

Put on your zoot suit and grab your parka because on Saturday August 20 Pop-up Cinema Yorkshire bring its giant screen to Dalby Forest for a one-off open-air screening of the mod classic Quadrophenia starring Phil Daniels, Lesley Ash, Ray Winstone and Sting.

Movie goers can now enjoy Popup Cinema in Dalby Forest without the worry of the long drive home on the night. Organisers are now offering great value camping conveniently located next to the cinema arena at the equivalent of just £5 per person in either 2 or 4 person pitches.

Quadrophenia is widely regarded as one of the classic cult films of the 1970s and is still captivating audiences more than 36 years later. Loosely based on The Who’s 1973 rock opera, the movie tells the story of a young Mod Jimmy Cooper (Phil Daniels) and his adventures in 1964 London and Brighton.

Operations director Jon Robinson said, “Growing up in the 1970’s I was very much a part of the mod revival and earned pocket money selling scooter rally patches, made by my elder brother, on Scarborough seafront.”

Tickets are available online at www.popupcinema.org priced at £13.50 for adults and £8.50 for under 18s (including booking fee). The film is a 15 certificate, so is not suitable for children under 15. Only a limited number of tickets are available. The film time is 8.30pm.
