The tension is mounting as the cast of Annie moves into Whitby Pavilion Theatre for its rehearsals this weekend.
Amy-Kay Pell, who plays Annie, the plucky red-haired orphan and Honey, who plays Sandy the stray dog she befriends, made sure they are ready for the opening night on Wednesday 7 December by spending a fun-filled weekend together at Amy’s home in Whitby.
In the story, Annie and Sandy are both running away when they meet.
Annie has escaped from the orphanage and Sandy from the dog-catcher. Inevitably, they form an unusual friendship as Annie attempts to find the parents who left her at the orphanage all those years ago.
The show can be seen at the pavilion from Wednesday 7 to Friday 9 December at 7.30pm and Saturday 10 at 2pm and 6.30pm.
Tickets are available from Whitby Tourist Information Centre, or on the booking line (01947) 604855.
