Scarborough Art Gallery will be hosting ‘Landscape Revisited’ with Joe Cornish & Kane Cunningham through the rest of October and November.

Opened at the Art Gallery on Sat 1 Oct, the collection has already been been fabulously received - the preview was the busiest the Gallery has ever hosted, with many people travelling from all over the country to be there.

As Kane commented: “The comments made by the public reflect how people feel about the Yorkshire Landscape and how we seem to have captured through photography or through paint a beautiful and awe-inspiring part of the country.

“I think the exhibition has also helped reinterpret, for many, some of the old favourites within the Gallery’s collection.”

Residents of Scarborough Borough can take advantage of a once a year opportunity to purchase one Open Return Ticket and get another one absolutely FREE. This means a whole family can take advantage of the over 100 events and activities organised by the Trust as well as gain FREE access to both the Art Gallery and Rotunda all year round for just £9 (£8 concessions).

The exhibition runs until Sun 4 Dec, Tue-Sun, 10am-5pm. There will also be a lunchtime ‘Landscape & Art’ conference with Joe Cornish and Kane Cunningham on Wednesday 26 October, noon till 1pm.

Other reoccuring events at the Art Gallery include ‘Sinbad’s Adventures’, a popular pre-school workshop in which Mums and Tots get to explore their creative skills and learn a little about Art and the Gallery at the same time (Wednesdays, 10.30-11.30am), and ‘Arty Party’, a fun-filled arty holiday activity which will draw inspiration from the Landscape Revisited Exhibition (Thursday 27 October, 11am-4pm).
