craftswoman Rebecca Corner makes willow sculptures and baskets at her home in Fylingthorpe and is just one of the local artists taking part in the open studios event.

Rebecca makes a varied range of sculptures, baskets and everything in between.

She will be demonstrating during both the weekends during the North Yorkshire Open Studios event which are held on Friday to Sunday (10/11/12 June) and Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June.

Rebecca makes a wide variety of products from willow from spiders to obelisks, baskets to igloos, deer to flowers and even coffins.

She also uses hedgerow materials whenever she can.

The artist sells her products at local farmer’s markets, plant and agricultural fairs and a couple of local galleries.

She has made a deer family and a female archer just for open studios and of course her ever popular pigs will be there.
