Littlebeck’s Rose Queen ceremony took place on Tuesday at the village’s annual garden fete.
Ten-year-old Lily May Newton of Falling Foss Tearooms was chosen as this year’s queen, and she was attended by Jazz Newman (6) and Rebecca Monkman-Harwood (4).
Lily, who was not nervous about taking on the role, said: “I’m really excited, this is epic.”
As is tradition, the Rose Queen and her attendees floated down the beck, as if by magic, to the Old Mill, where a crowd of hundreds had gathered to meet her.
She was greeted by predecessor Eden Evett, who crowned the new queen.
