Whitby Photographic Society was treated to a display of falconry recently.
Nick Halley and his son, Mathew, brought the birds, which included a Harris Hawk, White faced Owl, Kestrel and a young Barn owl for display on the cricket field.
Members were able to spend time photographing the birds from all angles, handle them and watch a flying display by the Harris hawk.
Mr Halley talked about all his birds, telling members a little of their history, how they were trained and their idiosyncrasies.
Afterwards members thanked Mr Halley and his son for an usual and interesting evening.
