Changing Rooms presenter in town

TELEVISION personality Linda Barker was in Whitby on Tuesday 3 May filming a new series for the BBC.

“Hidden Paintings of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire” will showcase paintings in public collections that are not generally available for the public to view.

It will also discuss the changing perceptions of seaside resorts at present, to how they were advertised in the period between the two world wars.

As part of the programme Linda Barker, famous through her appearances as an interior designer on the BBC’s Changing Rooms, rode the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and took a trip around the town on the Charabanc.
