A BARGAIN-HUNTING daytime TV star was in Sleights recently, searching for antiques.
Auctioneer Phillip Searle, made famous due to his appearances on programmes such as the BBC’s Bargain Hunt, stopped off at Eskdale Antiques in Sleights as part of filming for his latest programme, called Antiques Road Trip.
The TV personality spent a couple of hours filming in the yard and shop before purchasing an item, to be auctioned later.
The episode will be shown in the new year and all profits made from the sale are to be donated to Children In Need.
It is the second time the programme has been filmed at Eskdale Antiques, with further filming planned for later in the summer.
