A FORMER England cricketer who holds the world record for most dismissals taken by a wicketkeeper is going to be guest of honour at Fylingdales Cricket Club’s awards night.

Bob Taylor will be the third international star to appear at the club‘s end-of-season presentation in October, following Faroukh Engineer in 2009 and Derek Randall last year.

Taylor took more than 2,000 victims in a career spanning 23 years, making 57 Test and 639 first class appearances.

Fylingdales CC secretary Philip Dunn said: “It is going to be a great pleasure to listen to one of cricket’s professional gentlemen.”
