Play tennis for free in Whitby

Whitby Tennis Club is holding a pair of open nights this week, ahead of the start of the 2016 season.

These free sessions will take place tonight (Monday) and Wednesday at Caedmon College’s Scoresby Campus, from 6.15pm.

New players of all abilities and previous members are very welcome to attend.

Club secretary Sue Jackson said: “We look forward to seeing new players and others who might be a little rusty.

“There is no need to dress in whites, and we do have rackets available for use, just come along for an enjoyable evening where there will be an existing member on hand to assist with proceedings.

“We can also offer some free coaching over a period of six one-hour sessions, delivered by Mark Franklin and organised through the LTA.

“These sessions will be on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7pm, throughout the season.”

The club will compete in the Scarborough and District League during the 2016 season.
