Sport Mulgrave has once again landed the prestigious honour of hosting a county cricket match, between North Yorkshire and Cleveland under-15s.
The match will take place at the Lythe ground next Thursday (June 11).
It will be the third year running the ground has hosted a county junior game, which last year attracted a sizeable crowd.
Adrian Grayson, North Yorkshire Schools cricket team manager, enthused about the quality of the venue after watching last year’s contest.
“The facilities there for a village are excellent, “ he told The Whitby Gazette.
“The ground is of a standard that you can go there with a county team and have no concerns or worries.”
North Yorkshire will be hoping for a similar result to last year’s fixture, which they won by eight runs.
The game is due to get under way at 11am.
