Chilton earns Baxter win at Harwood Dale
A tough four-lap, 10-section course around the old army camp tested the best, but Chilton`s experience in contesting British and World Championship rounds this last year helped dramatically and, although “a little rusty first lap” - his words - he settled to rattle off consistent lap scores that kept strong riding Richmond visitor Rob Waite in runner-up berth.
Kirkbymoorside’s Dan Peace had a torrid first lap, a couple of uncharacteristic fives on section five and 10 doing the damage, but he recovered well to finish third.
