Whitby Maroons could clinch the Durham and Northumberland League 3 title this Saturday (Mar 28) when they play their biggest match of the season.
Table-toppers Maroons, who are already promoted, entertain second placed Houghton at White Leys in a clash of the titans.

Houghton know a win for them would keep their own title hopes alive and also guarantee them promotion.
Maroons coach Darryl Grason told the Whitby Gazette: “We will not be underestimating Houghton.
“They are a tough side and they deservedly won the game at their place – now it is up to us to reverse that form.
“We need to play our own brand of attacking rugby that has taken us to the top of the league, keep the tempo high and take the right options in the right areas of the field.”
Houghton are the only side to have beaten the Maroons in the league this season.
Whitby’s biggest crowd for many seasons is expected and kick-off is 3pm.
