Whitby Ladies and Danby Ladies are both celebrating after winning promotion from their respective divisions this week.
Both sides finished in second place in their respective divisions and sealed progression to the next level, the sides still one league apart.
Whitby captain Dani Halley said: “ I could not be happier with the effort the girls have put in this season.
“We have fought throughout until the end.
“With great support from the club and spectators we have managed to gain the promotion we deserve.”
A club spokesperson added: “Whitby have had a great level of support this season, without our coach Lee Pettit, fitness trainer Chris Watson and sideline support from Chris Hammill, along with Karen Sanderson, Brian Murfield and our club sponsor the Dolphin Hotel, the ladies would not be in the position they are in today.
“We look forward to beginning our new adventure into the North East League and welcome any further support.”
A Danby spokesperson said: “The squad has gone from strength to strength this season and have played the best hockey we ever have.
“Our team is held together with enthusiasm, dedication and loyalty all underpinned by our strong team spirit.
“Danby are thrilled and up for the challenges that the higher standard will bring.”
