JAMES Cockill and Luke Randell of Whitby’s Evolution Martial Arts Academy were honoured to have a stamp of approval from one of the world’s leading defence experts.
Peter Consterdine, 9th dan and head of the British Combat Association (BCA), presented James with his 5th degree Black Belt and Luke with his 4th degree Black Belt.
Acknowledged as one of the world’s hardest hitters with more than 47 years’ of continuous martial arts training behind him, Peter has made a specific lifetime study of the role of the arts in self defence and personal security.
His reputation for intensive training and fitness regimes is legendary.
James said: “Myself and Luke have always tried to surround ourselves with the best instructors/mentors we can find for our own personal training and the Martial Arts Academy Evolution and it really does not get much better than this.
“It’s a great honour to have Peter’s stamp of approval.
“We have always been associated with the BCA for the start but for the past two years James has had the privilege of training with Peter and and his private group at the British Combat Academy in Leeds.”
The Evolution Martial Arts Academy has been running for the past nine years and classes got under way in Whitby just over two years ago.
