RUGBY brothers are on a twin track to success after being selected to represent their region.
Guy and Johnny Coser (16), of Whitby, have successfully made it to the final squad of the North of England U16 rugby squad. The twin brothers will attend the Northern Regional Rugby Festival and hope to make the full England U16 side over Easter.
Guy and Johnny, who both attend Barnard Castle School, are following in the footsteps of other renowned rugby siblings who have honed their skills on the school’s famous playing fields.
Rory and Tony Underwood regularly represented their country in the 1980s and 90s and more recently the school has seen brothers Lee and Carl Dickson and Mathew and Alex Tait receive senior representative honours.
Barnard Castle School director of sport Martin Pepper said: “The Coser twins have huge potential.
“It is a superb achievement for both boys given the strong competition for places.
“We hope they continue to thrive and develop further over the next few years.”
Selectors will be at the festival with the intention of forming the full England U16 side to play a host of matches over Easter where both boys will be doing their best to secure their places.
