Whitby’s Caedmon College athletes were proud to pull on their new Astins’ Property Group sponsored kit in an inter-school athletics fixture against Malton, Lady Lumley’s, Eskdale, Fyling Hall and Norton schools.
The college teams in Years seven to 11 performed well in the Ryedale and Whitby Partnership track event, with many athletes placed in the top three for their events, going on to represent the partnership at the District Championships in York versus Scarborough/Filey schools.
The field events are set to take place later this month, from which points will be collated to determine the champion, track and field school. Astins’ Sales Director, Tim Richardson was keen to help out when he found out the youngsters needed to renew their athletics and cross country kit, which sees a lot of use through involvement in numerous fixtures.
Head of PE (KS4/5), Mike Mastrolonardo said it was good to see all the Caedmon College athletes wearing the new kit throughout the age ranges of the merged school.
He thanked Astins for their generosity. The new bespoke kit by athletics’ manufacturers, Viga, is a striking black vest with the college’s four house colours on a diagonal sash with Astins Property Group name and logo on the back.
