Tony’s Tip: we all love to see the grass growing – a sure sign of the better weather! Unfortunately there is a downside as the rough starts to get longer and thicker than it has been all winter. When you’re in the rough it is important not to be too greedy with your club selection, but take a club with plenty of loft to make sure that you get the ball out and onto the short stuff.
To help avoid getting a lotof grass between the club and the ball, play the ball a bit further back in your stance and hit a little more sharply down into the ball.
