TOP jockey of his era Bob Champion MBE will be guest speaker at a charity dinner at Gisborough Hall on Thursday 21 March.
He succeeded in his dream of winning the Grand National on Aldaniti in 1981 after he had recovered from cancer, the horse from a damaged foreleg.
His drive and enthusiasm and that of his many friends helped establish the Bob Champion Cancer Trust in 1983.
This is a chance to meet and hear the fascinating story of our local hero Bob on his home turf.
Tickets for the special two-course dinner are limited and cost £35 each. Contact Beryl Jackson (01287) 633434 or 07885 097329.
The event starts at 7.30pm.
