FRYUP’S Hamish Adamski made his maiden appearance at Cheshire’s Oulton Park in the fourth round of the Thundersport GB Aprilla Superteens 125cc series.
Oulton Park is another track he has not raced at before - the picturesque 2.6-mile circuit is fast flowing with lots of flowing bends.
As it was only a one day meeting the races carried double points.
On the test day last Friday the head gasket on his engine blew so dad Paul had to make running repairs.
Hamish (15) qualified 10th out of 21 riders. In the first race he went off track at the first bend and went down the field.
He fought his way back over the eight laps to finish in ninth.
In race two due to the heat and the demanding track he finished 10th.
At the end of the race his rear tyre was completely worn. These results keep him in 11th in the Championship.
Hamish enjoyed the circuit but was disappointed with the lack of speed on the straights due to him being older and bigger than some of the younger, lighter riders.
Unfortunately due to Paul’s work commitments, Hamish will miss the next three rounds this and next month.
