Lyth hits 73 to help Tykes beat Sussex

WHITBY’S Adam Lyth hit a glorious 73 to help Yorkshire to victory over Sussex in their Clydesdale Bank 40 match on Sunday.

Lyth cracked eight fours and a six in his innings, accompanying Jacques Rudolph in a 142-run partnership.

The Tykes strong tally of 302/4 was too much of an ask for their southern opponents, who fell 35 runs short in the match at North Marine Road.
