Lawrence hits hat-trick in Abel win

Scarborough made a dream start to the match as forward Rikki Lawrence bagged two quick goals from prompt counter-attacks as Leeds Adel pushed forward to make it 2-0.

Hide AdThis left gaps at the back for Lawrence to exploit and slot the ball into an empty net.
Leeds Adel enjoyed plenty of possession as the half progressed and managed to pull a goal back before half-time.
Chris Millson made a string of wonderful saves during the first half with wonderful reflexes to keep it at 2-1.
Aaron Dyson netted his first goal of the match through an accurate strike moments into the second half to hand the hosts a 3-1 advantage.

Hide AdThe goal made the match become an end-to-end contest and Scarborough’s midfielders Jonny Scott, Adam Allan and Brett Alexander Cunningham were working hard and distributing the ball up to Dyson and Lawrence.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, the away side weren’t giving up and reduced the deficit to one goal as they worked a short corner well to make it 3-2.
Scarborough reacted well as Dyson scored his second goal of the match for 4-2, but moments later the away side bagged a third goal through a precise counter-attack.
Lawrence completed his hat-trick with an accurate strike to restore Scarborough’s two-goal advantage.

All three teams are in action this weekend at home.
On Saturday, the Men’s 2nd team start the proceedings against Driffield 3rds at 11.30am, followed by the Men’s 1sts against Mirfield 1sts at 1pm.
The Ladies 1st take on Ben Rhydding 5ths at 2.30pm and on Sunday, the Men’s 2nds face City of York 9ths at 1pm as they catch up on postponed fixtures.
