JUNIOR CRICKET: Stephenson and Hayward hit form in Ebberston win

Ebberston under-13s' bowling duo of Oliver Stephenson and David Hayward were in outstanding form as their side saw off Duncombe Park by eight runs in Zone Two.

Harrison claimed 4-8 and Hayward 4-12 as Duncombe Park were bowled out for 54 in reply to Ebberston’s 62-7.

During the Ebberston innings Henry Stevens took 2-5 and Kit Saggers left with 2-17.

Another bowler in form was Leah Dobson, who played a huge part in helping Wykeham to a five-wicket win against Pickering.

Max Harland top scored for Pickering with 25, but 5-8 from Dobson took them out for 47.

In reply, Liam Eyre (15) and Tom Hutchinson (12no) guided Wykeham home.

Pickering B took victory by 18 runs in their game against Wykeham B.

Jack Norman’s 2-7 was the bowling highlight for Wykeham, but 26 from Isaac Edmond and 24 from Joe Barker took Pickering to 101-5.

Charlie Revis’ 26 and all-rounder Norman’s 25 kept that target in sight, but Pickering had enough to seal the win.

Seven-man Scalby had an evening to forget in Zone One as they lost to Bridlington by seven wickets.

Figures of 2-4 from Ben Leeson and 2-0 from Louis Beckett helped bowl them out for 13.

Will Holburn took 2-2 to keep things lively, but Brid soon charged to the victory.

Ben Chamberlain played a huge part as Flixton beat Driffield by 20 runs.

Chamberlain’s 27 was the high point of Flixton’s tally of 68-7.

The all-rounder then took 2-3 to team up with Charlie Colley’s 3-12 as Driffield slipped to 48.

Sewerby toppled Forge Valley by 86 runs.

The victors charged to 147-2, with Elliot Hatton, F Gunning, D Harvey and J Green all reaching the 20s.

Dan Boyes gave Valley some hope with 26, but those plans of victory were soon dashed.

In the under-11s Zone One, Scalby saw off derby rivals Cloughton by 15 runs.

Toby Wilson (2-12) and Mikey Linton (1-4) played their part in slowing Scalby to 254-3.

But a wicket each for Charlie Doubtfire-Langfield, Oscar Duck and Lewis Earle helped Scalby see off their opponents.

Callum Hatton’s 38 and Tom Traves 4-6 helped Sewerby to a comfortable 58-run success against Driffield Girls.

In Zone Two, Alfie Suggitt’s haul of 4-0 took out Pickering C for 181 as Pickering grabbed a 145-run win.

Tom Pickering scooped 3-10 to help Nawton Grange beat Duncombe Park B by 94 runs.
