A good crowd turned out on a sunny Sunday afternoon to see the Booth Cup Final between Fryup and Mulgrave, hosted by Glaisdale.
Batting first, Fryup played an attacking game and were soon going for their shots, reaching a total of 159 off their 16 overs for the loss of four wickets.
Chris Knight made 52 with good support from Andy Raw (28) and a lively 39 not out from Ben Hogarth.
In reply, due to some sharp fielding and tight bowling by Fryup, Mulgrave found runs hard to come by other than from their guest player, Chris Batchelor, who batted well for his 69.
The only Mulgrave players to reach double figures were Andy Thompson (27) and K Noble who made 16, bringing their total to 127, making Fryup the winners by 37 runs. Chris Knight took 4-24 and Gav Lonsdale 1-14.
