Fishburn Park’s poor run of form continued with a 4-2 defeat to Stockton West End in the Lou Moore Trophy on Saturday.
The home side were in front within two minutes.
The ball was played down the right and the cross was deflected into his own net by the unlucky Olly Cooper.
It took Fishburn a while to settle on the 3G surface but found an equaliser when the excellent Sam Pike fired home on 26 minutes.
The visitors fell behind 10 minutes later, but were incensed as the Stockton player seemed to control the ball with his hand before shooting.
Things got worse as half-time approached Park were slow to close down on the edge of the penalty area giving the West End midfielder time to pick his spot with an unstoppable shot.
On the stroke of half time Park reduced the arrears when Jake Faichney netted an unbelievable goal, chasing a long ball down the left he lobbed over the on rushing keeper from out on the touch line. Fishburn rang the changes mid way through the second half but could not find an equalizer and conceded a late 4th in the 86th minute to round off the scoring.
