Callum Myers put Pier in front and they soon made it 2-0 thanks to Brandon Catherall's great instinctive finish from 12 yards.

After the interval Scalby struck twice to level the scores, the first a George Wilson strike and the second a clever chip from Sam Foy, then Christian Mattinson restored the lead for Pier after good work from Myers.

Romanian ace Dragos Dragan then levelled for the home side from 25 yards after about an hour.

Goal Sports' Aaron Padgham then missed a free header from a corner, an excellent chance to take the lead against the leaders.

Moore restored the visitors' lead with his second of the game, and then set up Lee Dennis' header before completing his hat-trick in the final minute.

Goal Sports player-boss Mark Plumpton said: "It was a bit of an unfair scoreline overall I'd say and easily our most organised and best performance for a long while so I'm very pleased overall. The whole team performed well rather than any individual."
