GOLDSBOROUGH struggled to contain the ever-improving United side - their pace and movement from kick-off was impressive.
The scoreline could have been a lot worse if Harland, the Goldsborough keeper, had not pulled off half a dozen excellent saves throughout the game.
Lingdale started well and constantly attacked down both flanks and were four goals up by half-time.
The first three goals by Roth, Smith and Ovington were all from crosses from the left wing that found the Lingdale players with space and time to score.
The fourth on 35 minutes was a penalty, converted by Kirk after a Lingdale player was fouled in the box.
Lingdale added a further two goals from Ovington and substitute Adick in the second half.
Goldsborough kept pressing and managed to secure a late consolation five minutes from time from Callum Brown, but were unable to cope with in-form Lingdale.
