LEALHOLM proved too good for Rosedale in the Scarborough Junior Cup, with three goals in each half for the home side.
Mike Thompson scored his first goal on 15 minutes with a well-struck shot, notching his second on 30 minutes by guiding the ball into the net at the near post, following a poor clearance by the Rosedale defence.
Two minutes later, Phil Brown headed the home side further in front, after good approach play and a well flighted cross.
Rosedale battled hard to get into the game, but could not create any real pressure on the Lealholm defence.
Three more goals in the second half for Lealholm sealed the win with goals from Steve Bedingfield, Mike Thompson completing his hat trick and a great low drive shot from Kevin Brown in the final minutes of the game.
