Sunday League rocked by Tennyson resignation

Tennyson have quit the Sunday League and the remaining eight teams in the top flight have been called to an Emergency General Meeting to discuss the best way forward for the first division.

Trafalgar were due to play host to Tennyson this morning in the first division of the Scarborough News Sunday League, but Tennyson were unable to raise a team.

Shortly after this Tennyson informed the league of their resignation, league secretary Tony Walker then contacted the remaining eight clubs to inform them of the news and that an EGM was to be held to discuss the way forward.

The time and venue of the meeting will be confirmed later this week.
