Sunday League: FILO close in on promotion with Campus win
FILO kept their title hopes alive with a 5-2 win at Scarborough Campus.
Despite fielding a weakened side, FILO had too much for Campus and opened the scoring through Dan Brown’s long-range strike.
That was followed up by goals from Mike Jeffrey and Lee Brennan to make it 3-0, but Campus caught FILO napping and two quick goals made it 3-2.

Hide AdJordan Purvis’ strike gave FILO breathing space before the break and then a second-half goal from Phil Spencer sealed the three points.
Dan Brown was FILO’s star man.
Cayton and Newlands Reserves drew 3-3.
Man of the match Tyler Hanlon, Harry Holden and Jon Hodgson scored for Cayton, while a double from Callum Myers and an Eric Hall strike sealed a point for Liam Mintoft’s Newlands side.
Tom Sutherland was their man of the match.
