A glancing header from Alex Wray put Rosette 1-0 ahead midway through the first half and a strike from Macauley Riley on the stroke of half-time deservedly levelled for the visitors.

The leaders were below-par throughout and the away side were looking more likely to snatch the points until Ferrie headed in after former Rosette keeper Daz Palmer failed to hang onto a header from a corner.

Bobby Scarborough was named as the Commercial man of the match for a superb display in central midfield, while right-back Danny Thompson was the star man for Rosette.

Goal Sports moved into second spot with a routine 3-0 win at Fishburn Park Reserves.

Tyson Stubbings hit the post twice and the bar once in the opening 45 minutes as the visitors took charge but the scores remained goalless at the interval.

Ten minutes into the second half Stuart Wilson crossed in and after his initial pass was blocked he crossed again and Dan Pollard finished neatly at the near post.

Twenty minutes later the lead was doubled when Pollard's adept chip, after a fine pass from Stubbings, who had minutes earlier hit the bar for a second time, evaded the Park keeper.

Pollard turned creator for the third and final goal, setting up sub Paul Hill for a rare goal. The defender, having been pushed up front by player-boss Mark Plumpton as a replacement to hold the ball up, finished with aplomb after being set up by man of the match Pollard.

Goal Sports, who along with Sherburn are the only side who can catch the leaders, are now 13 points behind Rosette, with four games in hand.

Sherburn kept their faint hopes of securing promotion alive with a 7-0 home win against Sleights Reserves, with Liam Scott, Sam Rackham and Gary Tyson hitting two goals apiece.

Eastway Sports' decline continued with a 1-1 home draw against a resurgent Westover Wasps Reserves side.

The visitors went ahead in the 70th minute through a Chris Hannam penalty, the hosts levelling soon after when Eric Hall's forceful run set up Craig Moss to tap in.

Hall then had a fine chance to win it two minutes from time but the Westover keeper saved in a one-one-one situation.

Centre-back Josh Beach was the man of the match for Wasps while Dan Moir was the Eastway star man in midfield.

Itis Itis Rovers battled back from 2-0 down to win 4-3 at home to fellow strugglers Filey Town 3rds.

Joe Gage's brace put Town in charge, leading 2-0 at the interval and although Jack Ramos pulled a goal back for Rovers after the break, Billy Coyne's effort looked to have earned the the points for the visitors.

Ramos struck again to give the home side hope, then Luke Jones levelled the scores on 82 minutes with a fine finish after a one-two with Sam Broadbent.

Jones then smashed in a left-footed strike from the edge of the area to snatch all three points in the final minutes.

Neil Forsyth, who started at centre-back then pushed up to central midfield, was the man of the match for Rovers while Josh Dawson was the star man for Town.
