Whitby Town 2-1 Spennymoor Town

Both sides had chances to open the scoring in the first half but neither could break the deadlock.

Town started the second half strongly and should've led as David Carson twice fired over and Matty Tymon blazed wide after going one-on-one with the Town keeper.

It wasn't long before the hosts finally claimed the lead, Dale Hopson making no mistake from the penalty spot after Tymon was brought down in the box.

Whitby's lead didn't last long though, James Curtis beating Shane Bland to drag Spenny level.

As the game creeped into stoppage time and headed for a draw, a monumental error in the away side's defence allowed Roberts to nip in and tap in for a huge win for Chris Hardy's promotion-chasing Blues.
