LEALHOLM recovered from going two goals down to lowly Great Ayton to land an ultimately commanding win.

Great Ayton took a two-goal lead against Lealholm with a brace from from Anth Mannering and were the better side for the first 30 minutes.

Lealholm gradually pulled themselves back into the game and the last kick of the first half saw Lealholm pull a goal back with a near post header from Phil Brown, as the ball was played in from a corner.

Another goal just after the interval for Lealholm, scored by Jack Boddy when he was put clean through on goal, put Lealholm back in the game and Ayton seemed to fade.

Lealholm were the more dominant side in the second half. They took the lead after good work by Jack Boddy when he pulled the ball back from the goal-line for Duncan Marson to score.

With 20 minutes to go, Ayton cleared the ball from a corner, only for Darren Harland to fire in a shot through a mass of players to score and seal the win for Lealholm.
