Hinderwell back and ready for the big kick-off

HINDERWELL Football Club is ready and raring to go for the new season, having reformed after a few years out of the spotlight.

The re-established team, which comprises mostly young lads from the village, has been accepted into the Eskvale and Cleveland League where they will face fellow Whitby area teams such as Goldsborough and Staithes.

The club is up and running for the new season thanks to sponsorship from the Badger Hounds pub in Hinderwell as well as John Scott, manager of the Board Inn in Whitby, who donated £100.

Hinderwell face friendlies against Loftus and Staithes before kicking off the new league season away to Brotton on 13 August.
