Lealholm and Stokesley fought out a close league game, which the home side won narrowly.

Lealholm started the game well and looked the better side. However Stokesley begun to get greater possession of the ball with Jamie Edwards in midfield dominating the play.

Stokesley looked the stronger side and took the lead five minutes prior to half-time when Jamie Atkinson cut open the home defence and scored with a low drive.

But their lead did not last to the break - Duncan Marston, who had a great game for Lealholm, provided the cross for Phil Spencer to score from close range.

The game was still even in the second half with few goal-scoring chances.

Good work from Lealholm`s Michael Thompson set up Sam Crooks to score in a goalmouth scramble, just managing to poke the ball home. Stokesley pressed forward for the equaliser but Lealholm held firm with Ian Fishlock making some fine saves and Dan Porter making some great tackles.
