LEALHOLM convincingly won their first home game of the season, 6-0 against North Skelton Bull’s Head.
After Bull’s Head missed two good chances to take the lead, Lealholm took control of the match, scoring two quick goals on the half-hour mark.
First, Anthony Morgan scored from close range, before Sam Crooks scored with his head from a Morgan cross.
Crooks then scored his second on the stroke of half-time with a well-drilled shot across the Bull’s Head keeper Dave Aspin.
Lealholm then dominated the second half, scoring at regular intervals, helped by the fact that Bulls were reduced to 10 men after Andrew Craggs was sent off for his second bookable offence.
Although Sam Crooks missed a penalty for his hat-trick, after Mike Thompson was brought down, Dan Porter controlled the ball well of his chest to hit a great half volley to score.
Substitute Phil Spencer then scored twice, first robbing the ball off the last defender, before beating the keeper at his near post.
On Saturday, Lealholm entertain West Pier Reserves of Scarborough in the first round of the Junior Cup.
