Whitby Town are inviting any footballers wanting to play for the club to attend an open trial this summer.
The opportunity to earn a place in boss Chris Hardy’s squad for the 2015/16 season will take place at Northfield School in Billingham on Saturday June 11.
“This gives anyone who thinks they are good enough to play for the club to come along and impress us, with the prize being involvement in the first team,” Hardy said.
Anyone planning to attend should wear footwear suitable for a 4G playing surface and bring their own drinking fluids.
The session gets underway at 3pm and the school is located on Thames Road, TS22 5EG.
Meanwhile, the Blues have appointed Dr Tye Garkuwa, a consultant at South Tyneside District Hospital, as their new club doctor.
He will work alongside physio Paul Scott to attend to the Town players’ medical and surgical requirements.
“Dr Garkuwa will help out with things like x-rays and orthopaedic referrals, the stuff that isn’t quite so straightforward for our physio to organise,” Hardy added.
