Beth Mead helps Arsenal stay top and retains place in Lionesses squad for Germany clash

Hinderwell’s Beth Mead helped Arsenal Women to a fourth straight Women’s Super League win that sees them top the standings.

Mead and her Arsenal teammates cruised to a 5-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

They face Tottenham Hotspur in a North London derby this Sunday at Meadow Park, 2.30pm.

England Women’s head coach Phil Neville also selected Mead in his 28-player extended squad for the Lionesses’ October international camp.

England will face international competition for the first time since March when they head to Germany to face Europe’s highest ranked team at the Brita Arena in Wiesbaden on Tuesday October 27.
