Battling Heslerton Under-16s lose 1-0 at high-flying North Duffield Dragons
Having lost six points over Christmas due to a team folding Heslerton found themselves bottom of the table going into the game.
Hesitancy at the back gave Duffield the lead on the 10-minute mark with the striker nipping in to slot home.

Hide AdHeslerton rallied restricting the home team to very few chances.
Into the second half Duffield upped their game only to find Heslerton keeper Ben Flint in magnificent form pulling off top class saves coupled with last-ditch tackles from the strong Heslerton back line, at the other end Corey Wiles almost snatched a point capitalising on a mistake by the keeper but the ball eventually ran out for a goal-kick.
Duffield eventually won 1-0 but much credit went to the Heslerton team who battled throughout. Flint secured the man of the match award for his string of fine saves.
Heslerton Under-Eights Hotshots travelled to Filey Holt on Sunday and played their part in a very tight end to end game, the hosts coming away victorious in the end.

Hide AdThe Hotshots looked a little rusty at first but soon found there feet and started to play some good football acriss the field Riley Downes impressed in goal making some fantastic saves along with Eva Thompson who looked busy down her wing and dangerous running at players towards goal.
Other notable performances came from Seth Marston, Teddy Scott and Fletcher Simpson.
Seamer Under-12s claimed a superb 3-1 win at Stokesley in the North Riding County FA Cup third round.
Seamer dominated the cup-tie but found themselves 1-0 down at the half-time interval. Albie Lawton was brought down in the first half but the Stokesley keeper saved his penalty.

Hide AdThe villagers made a flying start to the second half, scoring within 60 seconds of the kick-off, with Bobby Fields scrambling the ball home.
An Oaklea Bell header from Joseph Adams’ corner made it 2-1 with 10 minutes to go and Riley Scott scored two minutes from time to seal their progress.
Seamer boss Liam Salt said: “All the lads did well in a game we dominated, only the missed chances kept the score as it was.”
