Mead brought up the milestone as Arsenal secured back-to-back victories in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League on Sunday as they ran out 4-0 winners over Birmingham City.

The Gunners sealed victory thanks to a Caitlin Foord brace and goals from prolific Dutch striker Vivianne Miedema and Lisa Evans.

“I’m really happy about making my 100th WSL appearance,” said Mead.

“It kind of makes me feel old but I’m very proud to reach this milestone in my career.

“We needed to find our form as soon as possible, the league is so competitive if you don’t pick up points you’ll be left behind, so we’re happy with the win and three points.”

The Hinderwell hot-shot singles out a win against Chelsea while she was at Sunderland and a memorable victory against Brighton for the Gunners as the pick of the 100.

She added: “I enjoy every single game I play - win or lose.

“I’ve learnt something from them all, but as a Sunderland player definitely the 4-0 win over Chelsea also scoring my hat-trick.

“And for Arsenal, I’d have to say Brighton away at the Amex.

“I scored a very good goal but it was the day we won the league title which was some feeling.”

Mead and Arsenal face Manchester United on Friday, March 19.

“I am excited, it’s a big game for us and could possibly mean a Champions League spot for us,” added Mead.

On joining up with the latest England camp as a late replacement under interim coach Hege Riise, Mead added: “It’s always different.

“You have to adapt to a new way of how the manager is wanting you to play. But there’s exciting times ahead.”

Arsenal have also confirmed that their away fixture against Rehanne Skinnker’s Tottenham Hotspur side will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday March 27.
