Darts record bid for Whitby cricket juniors

DARTS players in Whitby will take to the oche in a bid to break the world record for the most legs played in 12 hours.

The event takes place at Whitby Cricket Club from 8am to 8pm on Saturday 6 August to raise money for the club’s junior section, which has now expanded to three sides - the under 17s, under 15s and under 14s.

Most of the players are volunteers from the club’s members. The same day, Whitby 1sts entertain Richmondshire.

Chairman John Hall said: “We would welcome any interest in the event - anyone is welcome to go along and participate.”

Donations of raffle prizes are also welcome - contact Mr Hall on (01947) 821110.
