Mark Estill also weighed in with 2-33, and Harry Purves mopped up the tail with two wickets for no runs from five balls as struggling Seamer were skittled for 62 in 21.5 overs.

Ebberston 2nds held onto second place with a hard-earned 13-run win at home to rivals Mulgrave 2nds.

Reece Milner’s rapid 33 from 25 deliveries, plus 23 from 82 balls by veteran opener Mike Horsley steered the home side to 154-9.

Nick Gibson was the top Mulgrave bowler with 3-28.

Spinner Mattthew Kings then tied Mulgrave in knots with a cracking spell of 5-17 in 4.2 overs to send the visitors crashing to 141 all out after having been in pole position at 129-4, after David Hebron’s 4-29.

Kory Boushall’s 43 from 99 balls and Chris Spenceley’s 42 from 62 deliveries had put Mulgrave in control before spin wizard Kings cast his spell.

Scalby 2nds also remain in the promotion hunt after strolling to a nine-wicket win at home to lowly Wold Newton.

Joe Childs was the leading man for Scalby with the ball, snapping up 4-18 to mop up the visiting side’s tail.

Mark Hall and Mathew Atkinson hit 36 apiece to keep Wold Newton in with a slight chance before they were finally dismissed for 137.

A 102-run second-wicket stand between Lee Kerr (68no) and Stewart Ward (31no) then steered the hosts to a winning 141-1 from 33.2 overs.

Ganton eased their relegation fears with a five-wicket triumph at Snainton.

The hosts could only post 113-8, Michael Kipling hitting 35 as Greg Cousins and Will Bradley took three wickets apiece.

Leigh Watson’s three-wicket haul had Ganton worried early on but Ali Limb (32no) and Richard Bannister (29no) steered them to the win.

Wykeham 2nds eased to a seven-wicket win at home to Grosmont.

Gareth Bernard (3-26), plus two wickets each from Chris Kirkham-Knowles, Scott Wardman and Ethon Pashby saw Grosmont all out for 169, Greig Cowie hitting 38 and Gary Ludlum 37.

Max Lane struck a sparkling 73 and Sam Colling a brilliant 70 as Wykeham won by seven wickets.
