BECKETT DIVS 3 & 4 - Scarborough RUFC power to win against Flixton 3rds
An excellent all-round Scarborough RUFC display saw them win by 153 runs at home to Folkton & Flixton 3rds in Division Three.
Mark Shippey hit 60, Joe Lenton 54, David Smith 34 and George Elliott 26 not out as they racked up 238-7, Calum Hatton taking 3-30.
Flixton slipped to 85 all out, Simon Norris, Brett Canham and Mark Kelly taking two wickets each in Sunday’s game.
Great Habton 2nds won by four wickets at Pickering 3rds in another Sunday game.
Vernon Smith and Jordan Allanby took three wickets apiece as the Pikes posted 156-9, Bri Leckenby hitting 65.
Charlie Coulson hit 42, James Bulmer 35no and Will Wright 33 as Habton won.
Glaisdale cruised to an easy eight-wicket win at home to Ravenscar.
Jack Allanson took 4-20 as Ravenscar were dismissed for 150, Robin Coulson hitting 44.
Ben Thompson smacked 58 and skipper Tom Wardell 42 not out as Glaisdale ease home from 28.1 overs.
Nathan Marwood’s stunning 6-10 helped Nawton Grange 2nds to a nine-wicket win at home to Malton & Old Malton 3rds.
The visitors crumbled to 69 all out, Matthew Bowes bagging 3-13 and Alistair Blacklee’s 27 taking him 103 balls.
In reply, Anton Wessels hit 35no and skipper Darren Smith 22no to seal a swift win.
Forge Valley 2nds won by five wickets at home to Wykeham 3rds in Division Four.
David Stockhill (32) and Robin Shepherdson (26) were the top batsmen as Wykeham were dismissed for 101, Dan Boyes taking 4-22 and Dan Boyle 3-8.
Charlie Baldwin’s unbeaten 48 wrapped up the win for Valley.
Jack Sleight and Dan Bean took three wickets each as Sherburn 2nds won by nine wickets at home to Thornton Dale 2nds.
Dale were all out for 135, Robert Webster hitting 37 and Matthew Knowles 25no.
Jordan Wharton’s stunning 85no, including 10 fours and four sixes, allied to 31no from Chris Crawford fired Sherburn to victory.
Scalby 3rds eased to an 80-run win at Ravenscar 2nds.
Stephen Shannon’s excellent 91 steered Scalby to 155-6, the Stokoe family shining for the hosts, dad Jon capturing two wickets as did his son Luke and daughter Daisy.
In reply the hosts slumped to 75 all out in 30.1 overs, Luke Stokoe top-scoring with 22, Adie Hollingsworth taking 3-2, Max Hesp 2-6 and Theo Slade 3-28.
Liam Calvert’s 5-23 helped Goathland earn a 53-run win at Brompton 2nds.
Earlier, Liam Calvert had hit 35, Angus Nicholson 34 and Aron Calvert 24 as Goathland made 131-8, Tony Hulme taking 3-24. Brompton then sank to 78 all out in 32.5 overs.=
On Sunday, Scarborough 3rds beat Cayton 3rds by 10 wickets and on Saturday Flamborough earned a win by the same margin at Malton & Old Malton 4ths.
Ganton 2nds conceded their game at Bridlington 3rds.
