WHITBY’S Adam Lyth flew out to the Caribbean this week as part of Yorkshire CCC’s pre-season preparations.
The Vikings team return to Barbados aiming to retain their T20 title they won last year. During their two-week camp, Yorkshire will play a minimum of two matches in the T20 Barbados Cup.
In addition, there are two two-day matches planned against Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire and a couple of internal warm-up games.
Captain Andrew Gale said: “The Barbados camp will form an integral part of our plans for the new season and give us all massive opportunities to get out in the middle and develop our skills. It would be great if we could follow last year’s success on the island and win the T20 tournament for a second successive year.”
Yorkshire start their Barbados T20 campaign against Hampshire Royals at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown tomorrow with finals day the following day.
