You can get Cineworld IMAX tickets for just £3 this month - here’s how
Cinema chain Cineworld is hosting its IMAX Festival later this month, with tickets priced at just £3 each.
The one day festival, which is returning to Cineworld for a fifth consecutive year, will give cinema lovers another chance to see four of 2019’s biggest blockbusters in giant IMAX quality.
When is the IMAX Festival?
The IMAX Festival will be held on Saturday 22 February at all 24 of Cineworld’s IMAX cinemas in the UK and Ireland.
Casey Cohen, Head of Marketing at Cineworld, said: “We’re thrilled to see the return of the IMAX Film Fest following its successful run over the last four years.
“It’s a second chance for film fans to see some of 2019’s biggest blockbusters the way they were meant to be seen, on our immense IMAX screens.
“As IMAX’s biggest partner in the UK, we’re proud to be bringing the IMAX experience to more customers than ever before,” he said.
What films will be shown?
Kicking off the IMAX Festival is family favourite The Lion King, the re-telling of one of Disney’s most beloved classics. Featuring pioneering filmmaking techniques, audiences can immerse themselves in the soundtrack of the century.
Also returning is the biggest Marvel superhero film of all time, Avengers: Endgame. Filmed entirely with IMAX cameras, the Russo Brothers designed their epic film specifically for fans to experience in IMAX.
Later in the afternoon customers can watch Spider-man: Far From Home with Tom Holland reprising his role as everyone’s friendly neighbourhood superhero.
The finale showing for the festival brings the multi-nominated and award-winning Joker back to IMAX, as Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix delivers his critically acclaimed performance.

What is IMAX?
IMAX was founded in 1967 by Graeme Ferguson, Roman Kroitor, Robert Kerr, and William C. Shaw.
By manipulating the way movies were recorded onto film reels, the group was able to build projectors that gave cinema audiences a more immersive experience, with extra large screens.
IMAX still specialises in making cinema more immersive for viewers, with curved screens, moving seats, and specially designed cameras used to record footage for films like Avengers: Endgame.
